Strengths
Leader in the rapidly expanding distressed factoring financing market. In a fast-growing factoring market, Generalfinance presents itself as a specialist in the Distressed market, focusing mainly on recourse transactions as opposed to the market (focused on non-recourse transactions).
A unique and difficult to replicate business model
The peculiarity of Generalfinance's business model is in the choice of assignor - debtor, where assignor clients typically have low creditworthiness ("in restructuring") while the underlying assigned debtors have high creditworthiness (generally "investment grade"). Generalfinance's assigned debtors/assignor clients ratio is extremely high compared to the market average, allowing for strong risk diversification.
Credit scoring
Generalfinance's portfolio shows a high average score at the assigned debtor level, with a late payments record significantly lower than the market average.
Proprietary digital platform
Generalfinance has a strategic asset represented by its proprietary digital platform, which has been implemented and improved over the years, enabling the company to offer a flexible service, reduce the time to market and ensure increasing levels of efficiency.
Management team
The shareholder structure and a management team, oriented to the achievement of objectives in the medium to long term, have enabled business growth over more than 30 years of operation in the factoring market, up to the listing of Generalfinance on the Euronext Star Milan during 2022.
